I had to learn how to do bleach my hair properly (next time that is) the hard way.
I had black hair, I wanted silver hair. Immediately. Why was I so impatient?
Now, after one 12% vol., one 9% vol. and a 6% m top hair is fried.
I am not panicking too much, as I have survived 5-6 bleaches years before and this time was "only" 3 times. I also don't mind a trim. A haircut was overdue anyway, I just don't want it to be too much...
Note to self:
- NEVER bleach your hair with 12%
- DON'T bleach your hair more than once a week.
- DON'T use heat while bleaching. This includes foiles.
- Avoid shampoo as much as possible
- DO smear a lot of conditioners into your hair!
I am currently using (still trying out)
Aphogee Protein Treatment
Aphogee 2min Reconstructor
Aphogee leave in conditioner
Aussie 3 Minute miracle
Hair Mayonnaise
Palmer's coconut oil formula deep conditioning protein pack
Coconut Oil
I also just spoke to my hairdresser (really important!!! Just follow their advice, even if you don't like to be told that you can't go silver in a week and that you need 1-2 inches cut off. Either listen in the first place, or let them help you solve it, as soon as you've fucked up like me.
I will be good and smother my hair with treatments and not try to get it silver for at least (!!!) a month. Shampoo 1 a week and be very very careful when the hair is wet. Tomorrow I will get my hair trimmed and I hope it'll all be sorted soon. Well, you learn most out of your mistakes and I'm happy that I'm not completely freaking out. After all, only 1/3 rd of my hair is roasted, like when I was 15 and bleached my hair 5 times. I just wished that I hadn't relived the past.
Hair idea for tomorrow:
Eri Wakiyama, shaved side, wispy and side swept fringe, all in silver (later)
